In honor of the great show last night at the Doug Fir...the song of the day is Juxtaposed With U.

We have to tolerate all the people that we hate, I'm not in love with you, but I won't hold that against you.  We need more of this sentiment in the world.

Last night at the Doug Fir, Portland OR, the Super Furries crew offered up some delicious offerings from their latest CD Hey Venus! Stand outs for me were The Gift that Keeps Giving and Run Away. They also did a great job playing some of the older favorites...Calimero (song about a chicken), Do or Die, Juxtaposed With U, Golden Retriever, Rings Around the World.

Super fun was the interactive event where everyone put their hands on top of their heads in a wiggly antennae fashion to help move the crazy cosmic music from the front of the stage all the way to the back of the Doug Fir and perhaps it is still reverberating around the world.

They played a solid and fantastic set.

Last night was the fun and entertaining Aimee Mann Christmas show at the Aladdin Theater in Portland Oregon.  Fantastic array of guest appearances, humorous interludes and a 3 part film.  We went as a family and LOVED it!

Song of yesterday has to be I WAS THINKING I WOULD CLEAN UP FOR CHRISTMAS...which Aimee performed.

Great song of longing and striving and what how addictions of any sort can flavor our lives and our relationships.
